Aims and Objectives of the group: To provide a series of meetings (10) per annum (no meeting August or December) that will interest and educate members in the techniques of using a PC, tablet or smartphone. Each session is  used to extend the specific knowledge of participants.


Any expertise needed: Basic knowledge of a PC with Windows XP or better operating systems and an awareness of computer terminology. Notes are handed out during each session and the PowerPoint presentation used can be viewed on our website's HOME page by clicking the link 'Computer Group notes/presentations'

Equipment needed: A computer with Microsoft Operating system. Optionally an Android or Apple tablet & Android smartphone

Maximum number permitted in the group: 30

Location, day and time of meetings: Houghton Regis Library, Ash room, Third Wednesday of the month (except August and December), 2:00 pm.

A brief description of a typical meeting: Show typically, presentations on three different subjects with discussion of each topic. Members’ problems discussed and hopefully resolved!  Tea/coffee 50p,
